CIP Solutions offers a comprehensive suite of environmental, engineering, and chemical management consulting services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our customers and their project specific needs related to the water/wastewater (chemical/physical) treatment and UIC wells.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong focus on industrial wastewater and process water management to join our team. This role combines technical project management with business development responsibilities to drive the growth and success of our organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in industrial, chemical, civil, or mechanical engineering, coupled with significant experience in managing complex industrial water projects. Project Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the industrial and municipal government sectors. This position uniquely blends technical engineering expertise with strategic business acumen, driving sustainable growth by managing operational execution, deepening client relationships, and exploring new markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Management
- Apply engineering principles to understand client needs and propose technically viable, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations to meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering and operational team to design custom solutions, improving processes and operational efficiency for clients.
- Oversee the selection and integration of advanced water treatment technologies and systems.
- Provide innovative solutions for industrial wastewater treatment, process optimization, and water reuse strategies. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating project timelines, deliverables, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Work closely with operation managers and engineers to ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Foster long-term client relationships by providing ongoing support and identifying future opportunities for collaboration.
- Lead the planning, design, execution, and delivery of wastewater and process water management projects across industrial sectors.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, operations, HR and accounting to ensure alignment on business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring all parties understand technical specifications, deadlines, and project scope.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders.
2. Business Development
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, potential clients, and new revenue streams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to attract new business and enhance relationships with existing business.
- Develop sales goals and align business development activities with broader organizational strategies.
- Track key performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Meet and exceed business growth targets through lead generation, sales pitches, and networking.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, regulations, and industry trends in water and wastewater management.
- Prepare compelling technical and business presentations tailored to prospective clients in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Engage with executive team to create industry-specific campaigns and materials that support the business development strategy.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in industrial wastewater project management and business development, with proven success in meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value propositions.
- Proficiency in CRM software, market research tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:
- This role may require frequent travel to client sites and industry conferences.
- This role will require a combination of field/facility work and office work dependent upon the projects and clients’ needs.
- Flexible hours may be needed to accommodate different time zones and client schedules.
- The role is based in Sarasota FL, and candidate must live within 1 hour of home office.
